About Me

Committed to Social Justice and Empowering Individuals of All Ages

Experienced School Counselor with a Passion for Creating Nurturing Spaces for Growth

Hello! I’m Laeren Egan, a BIPOC therapist deeply committed to advancing social justice and supporting individuals across all ages. My extensive experience as a licensed school counselor (LSC) in Denver Public Schools has provided me with a profound understanding of the school environment, which is invaluable when working with young clients. This background allows me to effectively navigate and address the unique challenges children face within their educational settings.

My passion for social justice drives me to ensure that every client feels seen, heard, and supported. With years of experience as a licensed professional counseling candidate (LPCC) and school counselor, I’m dedicated to creating a nurturing space where clients can overcome obstacles and flourish.

I am originally from Green Bay, WI πŸ§€πŸ’šπŸ’›, I’m a proud dog mom to two sweet girls one being Penelope, and the other being Guinness (who is my co-therapist, meet her here!). Outside of my professional life, I love hiking, paddle boarding, catching sports games πŸˆπŸ€βšΎπŸŽΎ, and discovering new restaurants in Denver.

My Experience

I have been a therapist since 2022. And aΒ  licensed school counselor since 2019, where I was honored to be named Counselor of the Year for Denver Public Schools in 2021-2022. I specialize in attachment-based therapy, anxiety, trauma (incorporating EMDR), depression, and exploration of race and identity. My practice includes working with children, teens, families, and young adults. I also provide parent coaching to help families navigate challenges with confidence and clarity. My time as a collegiate tennis player, and my nomination for NCAA Woman of the Year, reflect a long-standing commitment to growth and resilience that continues to guide my work with clients.
